Barbara Mazella  

Barbara Mazella - one of the most interesting doll makers of Ukraine.She works with textiles and corn straw.Notoriety came to her during the "Orange Revolution" through her "Julia" doll. Now Barbara's creativity can be seen in museums and exhibitions in Kiev, as well as in private collections.Barbara Mazella is 81 years old; she is a woman with fire (with Italian last name and temper), she's filled with new ideas and energy.Therefore, all of this energy moves smoothly through the talented hands directly into a new and unique doll of Barbara Mazella.


 

Rag-nutted doll 

Is one of the most ancient dolls and is known as a ritual doll of Ukraine.They were given to brides as gifts meaning for a good progeny.The bride kept it to the day her first baby was born.Also, were given to older women who could not conceive a child.Sick children would recieve a rag doll too.It was concidered the doll took the disease out of a child, and burned afted a child was fully recovered.

The prise:

-  (~20 cm) 75 UAH;

-  (~15-12 cm) 50 UAH;
